Hi

I'm 80% sure this question belongs in the dev list, but please do
correct me if not :)

I was wondering if there were some guidelines about stability of
releases and marking of plugins as alpha/beta/stable?

I recently created a plugin hosted in the symfony plugin repository.
This is the first time I have published one of my plugins publicly,
but not the first plugin I have created.

For the first release I've marked the plugin as "alpha" just to be
safe. To be honest, I consider the plugin "stable". It's very simple
(one file) and has been working fine for me in a few production sites
for some time now.

So what, if any, are the criteria for marking a plugin "stable"? Is
unit testing required? How about integration testing?

For reference, the plugin is here:

Thanks for your time,
