Fabien, I know that "A Gentle Introduction to Symfony" is a renaming of the old "Definitive Guide to Symfony" for copyright reasons, but could you put some kind of prominent "read this instead" link on the old "Definitive Guide to Symfony" pages? If you Google for "Symfony Book" or many other Symfony topics you still get the 1.0 book and can easily miss the new one. The "not maintained anymore" notice tells you not to use it, but doesn't quickly bring you to the book you should really be reading (better yet, the equivalent chapter you should really be reading).
"A Gentle Introduction to Symfony" is not even in the top two pages of Google results for Symfony Book right now. It could definitely use a little SEO help. That would be a really cheap boost for modern Symfony (: On Sat, Oct 23, 2010 at 11:11 AM, Fabien Potencier <[email protected]> wrote: > On 10/23/10 2:59 PM, halfer wrote: >> >> Hi devs, >> >> Are there any doc maintainers in this thread?
