So someone mentioned again earlier that the Monolog dependency was annoying, and since I couldn't agree more, I thought it was about time we got rid of it. So I quickly wrote log() [1], it's not finished yet but it logs (or at least computes them), and I think it has already enough functionality to handle what we all would have like the ZendBundle to have done.
Any objection to removing ZendBundle and adding support for log() in FrameworkBundle? I can do the patch. Also if you just want to be complain about this email and point out that log() is completely irrelevant, be my quest :) [1] http://php.net/log Just kidding; this looks pretty neat and could be a nice start to a new Symfony component if all parties were agreeable to the idea. Downside of course is that Monolog is such an awesome name compared to "Symfony Log Component". I especially like your plans for different output drivers (FirePHP, awesome :) On Wed, Feb 16, 2011 at 9:23 PM, Jordi Boggiano <[email protected]> wrote: > Heya, > > So someone mentioned again earlier that the ZF dependency was annoying, > and since I couldn't agree more, I thought it was about time we got rid > of it.
