Hi Lukas- Security is still one area that I haven't dove into fully. So, maybe that makes me unqualified to comment, or maybe it makes me perfect.
Anyways, I think this is a great idea. My experience from working at an agency with symfony1 is that we usually brought in sfGuardPlugin just so we could get one (or maybe a few users), some basic "credentials", and a "free" login screen. I think there's demand for a plug-and-play solution for really basic security. Thanks!
