I have the same problem with latitudes and longitudes that are set by a google maps geocoder. The geocoder sets the lat and long in a hidden form field, but the form submit truncates the decimal numbers to an integer since the decimal point was not converted to a comma "," in the french locale... How can we disable numberFormatter for some fields?
