Hi Arf if you are talking about a REST API, look at https://github.com/FriendsOfSymfony/FOSRestBundle and https://github.com/schmittjoh/JMSSerializerBundle Defining the API should be straightforward (if you consider David Zuelkes advice), building the frontend applications that consume the API can be tricky.
