If we could turn off PRs, we would. :-) Discussion about proposals
should happen here on the list, not in PRs. Most of us are not
monitoring PRs. The odds of a PR getting noticed if it's not
accompanied by a mail to the list with the *actual* proposal are
extremely slim.
The goal for the cache system at present is to keep it simple and
extensible. I don't think pluggable services or validation meets that
bar at this point. The only open question at present, I think, is
immutable cache objects vs. factoried-only cache objects, for which
we're still waiting on Robert to present his argument for factoried-only
objects.

Hi all,
a week ago I asked for feedback on a PR
(https://github.com/symfony/symfony/pull/7230) that allows to use
services in the validation of ConfigCache caches. I realized that the
idea and motivation was not easy to understand from the PR description
itself so I explained more in detail what it is good for.
As I don't want to spend (waste) time on stuff nobody except me thinks
would be good to have I would really appreciate feedback and opinions on
it. I'd really love to get it done even if the current development cycle
is short – but that requires some kind of decision or approval.
I am asking for that on this list because I hope to also reach the
projects leads without stalking single persons too much. In case I am
blatantly disregarding any policies or processes, please educate me (by
private e-mail, preferably >:-).
Thank you!
