Yep, as I said in my opening post, I'm a Gaufrette fan myself. I actually even started doing a relatively major refactor<https://github.com/KnpLabs/Gaufrette/tree/feature/file-metadata-refactoring>for it to make it more object oriented and better supporter of metadata.
