Objet : [symfony-users] What if there were ... SymfonyCamp?
An idea has been brooding in the company I work for... organizing a
nice gathering for Symfony users and enthousiasts in the Netherlands,
somewhere in the summer, with sessions on Symfony development,
maintaining Symfony applications, etc etc (and maybe also a few more
general php sessions).
What if we would organize something like that, in the dead center of
the Netherlands (Amersfoort region)? Something like:
- 3 days of sessions
- 2 (or maybe more?) nights of camping
- food and drinks
- a pool
- maybe a nice party in the evening(s)
Possibly we could even spread out the day groupwise, something like
the first day for beginners, second day for advanced users and the
third day for experts, or maybe just have sessions for all three
groups spread out over three days.
Anyway, details have to be worked out. Right now, we mainly want to
know: how many people would be interested in this? We want to make it
worth your while, so when responding let's assume that we have top-
notch speakers and it's indeed pretty cool. So please respond to this
post answering the following questions:
- Would you be interested in SymfonyCamp?
- Which period would be perfect for this ( within july/august/
september range probably)?
- How much would you be willing to pay for this, or how much do you
think you could convince your boss to pay for this? ;)
