I finally got it running thanks a lot (dont ask me in detail what the 
problem was...it just worked).

I recognized, that with my installation of the plugin (0.2.1) I still 
have problems 1 and 3 described here: 
http://www.symfony-project.com/forum/index.php/m/22682/?srch=sfPropelVersionableBehaviorPlugin#msg_22682
Is it possible, that some older sources 'sneaked' into the current version?
