PHP had some not small issues before vesion 5.2.1 and because only certain people get this cache problem I am inclined to think that it is more a PHP issue than Symfony's (probably the way Symfony manages the cache helps trigger the problem). I have yet to see a person with >5.2.1 have this cache problem.
