Lukas, yeah, that's would be a great start to create a diff tool for
schema files. But have you also thought about how people will use the
tool for generating migrations in their project? One of concerns for
me is that in symfony you have only one model file and there's nothing
to compare it with. At least until you use svn for your project, so
you have an svn pristine copy that can be used in comparison -- this
plan is ok for me, but I consider it won't be widely adopted.

And how are you going to contribute to doctrine?
