BTW, is there a reason not to link symfony as an svn external under lib/vendor and then just project:deploy the whole thing?
There would be some files (generators etc.) uploaded that are not needed, but the litte wasted space wouldn't matter, and transfer only takes place once at initial deployment. I don't see the point of freezing/unfreezing in this case, or am I missing something? This is assuming I have linked to a svn tag, so I have updates under my control.
