Hi All

I am testing out my Symfony 1.1 app (using doctrine for the ORM) on a
64bit Ubuntu 8.04 server machine. Its working nicely except for that
the memory usage seems extreme. A single page with around 10 db
queries served by Symfony uses up about 12 MB ram.

On my macbook pro (which runs a 64bit OSX) the memory usage for the
same exact page (with the same exact database) is only 2.5 MB.

Does anyone have any idea of why the ubuntu machine would use so
monstrously much more memory?

Thanks
Alec
