Hi Ho! I am involved in a project that uses symfony-1.0.
One ineffective and inefficient task that symfony-1.1 has fixed with its integration of sfForm and Propel (http://www.symfony-project.org/book/forms/1_1/en/04-Propel-Integration) is validating the maximum number of characters that can be inserted into fields of type VARCHAR. What is the best practice to do such a thing in symfony-1.0? It is painful to have to manually insert validation clauses in validate/{create,edit}.yml of 15 modules that use a DB of 40 tables with a lot of VARCHAR fields :-( Thank you.
