I see, I didn't know that. Are you still using Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10)? All Ubuntu releases after 7.10 feature php5 >= 5.2.4 in their repository. I just found out that you don't even need medibuntu. http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy-updates/php5 Click on the release names in the upper right to compare the PHP versions of the different Ubuntu releases.
