I finally found an answer! If compat_10 mode is enabled, and an action
is rewritten using Symfony 1.1 forms, one should be careful to remove
the corresponding yml file in the validate folder. I thought it would
be simply ignored and that I could clean up later, but apparently it
is not ignored and it interferes with validation.
