Hi, back in sept 2008 there was an inconclusive discussion of this: http://tinyurl.com/cy37oj
The objective is to allow users to specify their own timezone and have date/times displayed accordingly. Dates/times would be stored in UTC internally in the database. I've looked a bit at the code and can't see any support for this in sfDateFormat nor any way of cleanly adding such support. To make it work I think I'd need to rewrite sfDateFormat, something I'm reluctant to do. Before I press ahead with this can anyone tell me: a) have you already solved this somehow? b) if not, is there support for implementing this and getting it into the core release? (anyone willing to help?) I'm still running on sf1.0 so would need to do an implementation that would work with that release. Looking forward to hearing from you.
