Hi Mark,
What exactly is it what you want to do? If you want to provide a
default value for the field, there are several ways to do this:
1. You can pass the defaults to the form constructor
$form = new sfForm(array('field' => 'value'));
2. You can set the defaults using setDefault()/setDefaults() f.i. from
within your configure() method:
$form->setDefault('field', 'value');
