We use windows machines exclusively, and have been PHPing for the past 10 years. Syncing between servers is very easy which windows shares and no extra software.
Never had to use a MVC framework before and symfony has been chosen, would like to use the builtin :deploy but it sound like a lot of messing around to get that part to work, so will problem stick with out custom sync program I wrote to keep it simple.
