I can see another problem. The specs of that machine are incredibly low. My netbook that cost me next to nothing and that I use only for web surfing, email and ebook reading has better spcifications than the "server" you just described. Depending on how your application is written you will probably only be able to manage around 3-4 connectionsto the running application with that kind of hardware. You would be better off just getting something like a Linode (Linode.com) or other cloud service than renting a machine that is woefully underpowered like that.
