Hi Rob, First of all, welcome to symfony \é/
First of all, you should start with the Jobeet tutorial : http://www.symfony-project.org/jobeet/1_4/Doctrine/en/ - Symfony 1.4 & Doctrine This tutorial will learn you how to make some basic stuff : creating pages, navigation, layouts, admin generator, credentials, bla bla bla... To make a clean application with a navigation depending of your user's credentials, you will have to use sfDoctrineGuardPlugin : http://www.symfony-project.org/plugins/sfDoctrineGuardPlugin But before going into plugins, do the Jobeet tutorial. If you have any question, crawl the documentation : http://www.symfony-project.org/doc/1_4/ If you don't have your answer, come back here and search in past topics. Good luck, Alexandre 2009/12/15 Rob Wilkerson <[email protected]> > I'm working on a new project using Symfony.
