What type of image transformer you use (mod_gd)?
Check that is installed correctly (phpinfo()).
What type of images are you trying to transform?
There are some known limitations for libgd - no bitmap (.bmp) etc...
What error do you get when running under the dev controller (it should
be something else then a white page).
