Hi everyone! I'm working on a project with symfony 1.4 and propel as a ORM. These days we are thinking about the possibility of make some changes to the project.
What we think is if is posible to change de PDO with other library, maybe adoDB. Do you think this is possible? What would be the advantages and disadvantages of doing that? If is possible and taking care the project is almost already to go into production, how hard would it be? and how long would it take? We googled but we didn't found anything on this topic. IMHO, I think isn't possible or at least it would be needed to modify so many symfony core files and this could impact on the symfony performance. Also that the changes will take time and the project must be released ASAP. What do you think about this? There's a real big advantage of using adoDB instead of PDO?
