I'm not incredibly familiar with what the amount of pain would be to make
Symfony2 PHP 5.2 compatible, but I'm willing to bet it's way more pain than
it's worth.

Sure, plenty of people use godaddy for hosting. Those plenty of people
should pressure them to update their php versions.
