You can pass object in routing.
for example:
comment:
url: /comment/:name/:date.:sf_format
class: sfDoctrineRoute
param: { module: comment, action: anyAction }
options: { model: YourClass, type: object }
In action :
you will get
$this->comment = $this->getRoute()->getObject();
