Thanks for the update. I have one more comment:

+    assert s.median == 0.5
+    s = Sample([4,2,3])
+    assert s == Sample([2, 3, 4])
+    assert s.median == 3
+    s = Sample([4,2,3,1])
+    assert s.median == 2.5

the 0.5 on the right hand side is a Python float, so it's fragile. Let's  
test that it
is equal to S(1)/2, i.e. a sympy expression, then it will be exact.
