New issue 1304 by [email protected]: Integrate sqrt(x**2 + y**2) fails http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=1304 Sympy fails to integrate sqrt(x**2 + y**2), just returning Integral(...). Onther integral along the same lines which Sympy can not integrate is: integrate(1/(x**2 + y**2)**(Rational(3/2)),y). (The integral came up when I was attempting to calculate the magnetic field for a wire segment.) Both of these can be integrated. (Apologies if the first integral has been reported before -- I thought I reported it a few days ago but can not seem to find the issue #.) -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
