What I meant is that we shouldn't bloat our tests with unreadable examples just for sake of fulfilling the rule, especially when the resulting expressions will change with just a tiny modification to simplification routines (at least not too often). So, speaking shortly, the way the patch was done (up to r.values()) is fine in this situation.
