I guess it depends on if atoms is supposed to be a mathematical construct,
in which case index variables like x
here should be omitted, or a structural construct, in which case there
might be a reason to want to know that x
is in that integral (for example, if you are looking for assumptions on x).
Since it takes the name atom, which is the name of the base class of symbol
(i.e., much more low level), I would
tend to lean toward the second one.
