Comment #1 on issue 1836 by smichr: subs can see the 2 arg sum

This really creates a significant slow down in printing terms like the
continued
fraction 1+1/(1+x/(1+x/(1+x/...))) By the time you get up to an expression
like
print 1+x/(1+x/(1+x/(1+x/(1+x/(1+x/(1+x/(1+x/(1+x/(1+x/(1+x))))))))))
the time to print is significant (several seconds). I'm not sure why the
slow down is
so great for this.
