What I am saying in the previous comment is that if you change the == to is
in
__contains__ then ode's in ode's docstrings start to fail and I imagine
that it is
because now derivatives that passed as being "==" don't pass as being "is"
and
something is breaking down.
The (what seems to me) odd behavior of Derivative and diff is perhaps
another issue
that I'm not pursuing right now, but I think it should be looked at.
