All tests pass (even faster than before :), this part looks fine.
I'm not sure whether 372e6aba and fdac1eb should be actually squashed. And
maybe 1b86eda too.
The docs however fail to build for me:
writing output... [ 52%] modules/mpmath/functions/numberparts
Exception occurred:
File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/sphinx/environment.py", line 931,

toc = self.tocs[docname].deepcopy()
KeyError: 'modules/mpmath/functions/numberparts'
So I'm +1 on the mpmath code part (maybe squashed to one commit), but the
docs should be fixed.
