Comment #3 on issue 2005 by smichr: (x**(2*y)).subs(exp(3*y*log(x)), z)
gives z**(3/2) instead of z**(2/3)

OK, let's take this in smaller pieces. Instead of reviewing and accepting
1836, could we just get a quick fix in for this? It's a wrong result. It's
easy to fix. I am putting the commit into branch 2005.
