Unless there are any objections, I think we should do what was suggested at
http://groups.google.com/group/sympy/browse_thread/thread/aee52c418a1d9959/f18f4347bf92a339,
which is to make version 0.7.0 the last version that supports Python 2.4.

for all the reasons for dropping support.
I will create a pull request soon that prints a deprecation warning when
Python 2.4 is used.
