I have cherry-picked the commit from comment 16 of issue 1587 onto this
branch. Please review.
Note, the problem that that commit fixes is not observable in master. It
does, however, occur in polys12. Therefore, you can test it in the branch
http://github.com/asmeurer/sympy/tree/polys12-doctest, where I have merged
it into an older version of polys12. The problem is that in Python 2.5,
doctest gives an error with unicode .txt files. The problem only occurs in
Python 2.5.
