As to the rewrite module, the only thing in there is apart(), which I
think
should go in simplify.py. So let's just do that.
Please take polys12 into consideration. This module was removed there. I
also have somewhere a branch which implements rewrite() in terms of
Basic.replace() (I will have to find it).
