Comment #2 on issue 2200 by [email protected]: limit(sin(x),x,oo) should
raise an error
http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=2200
Just to keep it in one place I attach the correspondence about this theme
http://groups.google.com/group/sympy/browse_thread/thread/c834029d7696de5c?hl=en#
In particular, it became clarify itself, that limit(sin(x),x,oo) must not
raise an error in tis case, but nan. Or (as enhancement) the singularity
description.
Also things offered about Singularity class that allow to transit of `oo`
throw `sin()` function (with morphing of infinite discontinuity Singularity
to "interval" Singularity).
And I additionally add right now, that formally the `oo` has a singularity
behavior in SymPy now too, somehow.
