I think Chris pushed it in because he only read the comments on the pull
request. So it's important to always look at both the issue page and the
pull request before pushing something.
@Mateusz, I also want to know what you planned to do with this. You just
had a random commit implementing a function that admittedly does seem a
little out of place on its own. And you still haven't actually explained
anywhere how you planned to extend it (correct me if I am wrong).
