I just discovered this when fixing issue 2425, and I don't like it. In
addition to speed issues because of special case checks for Infinity, there
are also a lot of bugs lurking because of where there is no special case
check and there should be one. Most people don't realize that when they
write "if x.is_Rational" that it will include oo too. And besides, it's
just _wrong_!
Anyway, it looks like the lowercase rational was fixed already:
In [20]: print oo.is_rational
None
