It seems that Mathematic link is broken. Anyway, I was just following the link from http://mathworld.wolfram.com/AlgebraicNumberMinimalPolynomial.html, which clearly shows that the syntax is MinimalPolynomial[zeta, var] (zeta is the algebraic number).
