This also doesn't work:

In [21]: x, y = symbols('x y', positive=True)

In [22]: sqrt(x*y)
Out[22]:
  ⎽⎽⎽   ⎽⎽⎽
╲╱ x ⋅╲╱ y

In [23]: sqrt(x*y).subs(x*y, 2)
Out[23]:
  ⎽⎽⎽   ⎽⎽⎽
╲╱ x ⋅╲╱ y

It's a little clearer in this case because the printer makes it clear that the result is a Mul, not a Pow.
