Ondrej wrote this function, if I remember correctly. So let's see what he
thinks.
I think that method="sympy" at least should return a Float. Maybe you
could argue that the other methods should do something different.
Is it a bug in mpmath that nprint does not work with python floats?
You should open an issue in the mpmath bug tracker for this.
