Yeah, this is fixed by my pull request 495. It's also fixed upstream at: http://code.google.com/p/mpmath/source/detail?r=1238
@the reporter: Are you using SymPy under Python 3, or just mpmath? We don't fully support it yet, but it'd be pretty cool if you managed to get it working (for your needs).
