    >>> sqrt(w/v)
    (w/v)**(1/2)
    >>> factor(_)
    w**(1/2)*(1/v)**(1/2)

If w and v are -1 then sqrt(w/v) is 1 but the facored result would give -1.
btw, expand() does not separate these two if they have no sign assumptions:

    >>> sqrt(w/v).expand()
    (w/v)**(1/2)
