My branch was pushed in. You can now import sympy in Jython, but there are
a ton of failures.
By the way, if you are interested in this issue, you should follow the
Jython issue (http://bugs.jython.org/issue1777), where I've been making
updates (because I require their assistance and advice to fix most of these
problems).
