Yeah, it's actually a problem for most/all the distributions. This also
figured in the #2482 (stop bundling mpmath) discussion. I agree that we
could provide a no-mpmath version, though I worry it might complicate
testing/the release process somewhat. I propose we continue this discussion
on the mpmath issue above, if you think there's something to discuss.
