This is difficult to support in Python 3 (see issue 2674). How much longer
should we support it? I think no longer than 0.7.3. It's an advanced
feature, so I doubt many people use it. And the old ordering is very
similar to rev-lex, so if someone just wants "series order," they can use
that.
