There is no need to solve one-by-one:
f1=a - (r -2*s)
f2=-3 - (-a*r -2*s)
f3=5 - (2*r + 2*a*r)
solve((f1,f2,f3))
[{s: 11/4, r: 5, a: -1/2}]
