Check into how RootOf computes the roots:
from sympy.abc import *
from sympy import *
solve(x**5 - 5*x + 12)
[RootOf(x**5 - 5*x + 12, 0), RootOf(x**5 - 5*x + 12, 1), RootOf(x**5 - 5*x
+ 12,
2), RootOf(x**5 - 5*x + 12, 3), RootOf(x**5 - 5*x + 12, 4)]
